COASTAL WANTED TO LAUNCH ECOMMERCE, BUT WERE WARY.
Using a WordPress site to support ad circulars, they needed to sell online to stay competitive. But, they’d watched competitors try eCommerc and fail. Plus, they were worried about cannibalizing brick-and-mortar sales. They needed a clear strategy that included BOPUS (buy online, pickup in store).

CHALLENGE
Coastal’s digital experience was limited to listing products and some blog content, but there was no way to buy.
STRATEGY
Working with the brilliant Dave Pfeiffer and partner Luminos Labs, I helped craft personas and a UX workflow.
Updating their brand voice was an important part of bringing their in-store experience online.
Finally, we built prototypes in Axure to make sure we accounted for every aspect of the user experience.
EXECUTION
After carefully vetting the full strategy, I designed all visual assets needed, implemented style tiles through Zeplin.io and handed the project over to development.
With sound strategy and a clear process, we completed the project on time and under budget.
